It is said that India's first doctor Maharishi
Sushruta wrote a book called Sushruta Samhita. He is also known as father of
surgery and plastic surgery. According to Mahabharata he is the son of
Maharishi Vishvamitra. This book gives details about
many surgeries like modern plastic surgery. The first plastic surgery was done
around 206 years ago in October 1814.
